Watch Out Wednesday: Material Wrld
Material Wrld is a fabulous site where users can shop the most covetable closets of trendsetters and fashionistas. Material Wrld was started by friends Jie and Rie who bonded at Harvard Business School over, as they say, “a mutual love of fashion, dance, and businesses that do good.” Jie and Rie then teamed up with Jeremy, who had previously been at The Thingdom, a social network for things.
The site is an online community for the fashion-obsessed to buy pre-loved fashion from their dream closets. We love how they describe their goal in creating this marketplace: “so the stylish could easily refresh their looks with crush-worthy pieces from one another’s closets.” Right now Material Wrld has a pop-up shop where users can check out what exciting things are in store for the official launch coming soon—be sure to sign up so you’ll be alerted as to when you can start raiding closets!
