Tech Crush Thursday: Manish Chandra
Having just returned from our West Coast Tour, we cannot stop thinking about all of the fabulous fashion tech startups in the golden state! That’s why this week, we cannot help but crush on Manish Chandra, Founder and CEO of Poshmark!
Manish is definitely not a new entrant to the startup scene. Since recieving his MBA from Haas Business School, Manish has spent his years in the Silicon Valley, starting and growing companies in the internet and technology space. Prior to Poshmark, he was the Founder & CEO of Kaboodle, a pioneer in social shopping (which was acquired by Hearst Corporation in 2007).
Poshmark, Manish’s current project, is a leader in the mobile fashion marketplace place. Poshmark launched in December 2011 and aims to simplify how fashion is bought and sold. Sellers simply take a photo of items they wish to sell using the photo app, select a price, and post it for sale. The app handles the payments and shipping labels, releasing the payment to the seller contingent on the buyer’s approval of the received item. It truly is an addicting and fun mobile app!
We were lucky to partner with Manish and the Poshmark team at our meetup this week in San Francisco. We absolutely love their platform, and cannot wait to see what Manish and the rest of the lovely Poshmark team comes up with next!
